It was a fun little trip and we even stopped to pick up a few pumpkins!
Every time we are in Winona, I like to drive by the Chapel and John and I were married. It is only a "special occasion" chapel- so it usually isn't open... today it was! It was very exciting to take a few more pictures and show off to Ben and Tommy where we were married...and it brought back a lot of great memories!
Lastly... October means Halloween!! It was a beautiful, warm day/evening so the boys got to wear their Halloween costumes without coats! (For those who live in Minnesota, you know how rare this is!) Ben really really wanted to be a storm trooper again this year....and who am I to say no!? Save a little money and he still gets to dress up how he wants?? Sure!! Tommy wanted to be a pirate- I wanted to try my hand at making his costume....one pair of socks, a women's black vest, red ribbon, a scarf and left overs from a summer trip to Pirate's Cove.... viola! (I think it turned out pretty good!)
Our pumpkins this year were from our trip with Big Papa- I tried my hand at "scrape carving"
It looked really cool and wasn't that hard!
Tommy's pumpkin with "vampire teeth"
Ben's pumpkin... "Bat man"
Yes... this picture was taken in October!!!
Yes... we live in Minnesota
